RESEARCH ASSOCIATE I
The University of Tennessee is
seeking qualified candidates for the position of Research Associate I in the
Center for Business and Economic Research. A person with a strong interest and
aptitude for researching economic issues is required. The selected candidate
must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in economics or a related area along with
excellent research and quantitative capabilities. The ability to work
independently but in a group environment is necessary. The ability to work with
and understand broad types of data is essential. This person should possess
solid statistical or econometric skills. Knowledge and experience with
econometric software is desired. The ability to write well and present research
results is preferred. Previous experience and an advanced degree are desired.
This person will work on research and data projects as assigned, but is expected
to show initiative in identifying areas to contribute to the group objectives.
This person will become proficient in the understanding and analysis of
economic, demographic and other data. Projects will require work ranging from
spreadsheet to sophisticated econometric applications.
